Perfect entree with cocktails

Ingredients

2 eggs
1 cup plain flour
1 cup SR flour
salt, white pepper,
Milk
1 x tin 70 gm creamed corn
1 small grated onion
1 rasher finely diced bacon
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon chilli – finely chopped or from jar.
oil for frying

Method

  • Mix flours with eggs and spices. Add creamed corn and grated onion. Then add milk so as not to get too watery a consistency. Add milk and then other ingredients.
  • When all mixed, run through spaetzle maker into oil. Small amounts at a time. (if ingredients are too chunky, you can drop a teaspoon at a time into oil)
  • Drain on absorbent paper.
  • These can be served with pre dinner drinks as a change. Great party food.
